So I forgot to mention this in my last post... but I had a moment when I was on the bus coming home from Oxford. As soon as the bus started going I was asleep... and I slept the whole way to London. I woke up though because we stopped suddenly, and I opened an eye, that was painful because of my contacts but I opened an eye, and closed it again. I knew where I was without thinking about it. And not only that, I thought as I closed my eye again, "Why is the bus not moving? The stop light is flashing both orange and red" OMG! That use to freak me out, you could go when the light flashed yellow! But not anymore.
Back to the point where I knew where I was, I recognizied Kensington at once, and knew I still had like 20 minutes to this trip, and that was 20 more minutes I could sleep! I did not wake up and think, "Oh no did I miss my stop?" Nope I was cool, calm, and tired, so I closed my eyes again.
The whole driving on the wrong side of the road thing still kinda gets me, I still look at total of 4 times before I cross the street, I mean I look in the right direction when I am crossing, but as I am crossing, I look in the direction that the cars should be coming from if I was in the US. That habit will be hard to break, if it breaks, but it does not matter, because the first time I look it is the correct way for being in England.
I was so excited though when I was on the bus, and I had this moment. I just had to share it with everyone!
